“A ministry like this takes your time, it takes your money, it takes every bit of your energy, and all your strength…but we are very willing here at Heartland to do that because it is such a blessing. It gives you such joy and such peace when you see what happens—it is exciting because it is about changing lives.“ -Charlie Sharpe
Here are a few ways to show support to those walking through recovery:
Prayer
There is joy, peace, and freedom from a self-centered life of destruction available for all who would dare to believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed, and all things are possible to those who believe. Your regular prayers for our staff and residents makes all the difference!
Giving
It costs almost $2500 per month to house, feed, and disciple recovery residents—which Heartland sponsors at no cost to those enrolled. Perhaps you would like to be a regular sponsor to help another person who is seeking a life change. Or maybe you would like to give a memorial or support our annual Rally for Recovery.
Scholarship
The Charles N. Sharpe Educational Fund was set up to provide a scholarship opportunity for residents in, or recently completing, the Heartland program. This scholarship is available to be applied to studies at Heartland Christian College in order to offer residents of these programs the opportunity to step into higher education.
Social Media
Heartland Recovery social media sites are a great way to share information with family and friends, or those you meet who are looking for a place to find help. Follow us on Facebook, YouTube, and this website for encouraging testimonies and ministry updates, and ways to connect.
