As a ten-year cocaine addict, Scott knew what a life of turmoil was like. He finally sought help at a local church where the pastor worked with him one-on-one, but eventually recommended Scott apply to the Heartland Men’s Recovery Program. Thirteen years later, Scott is sober and now on staff as the Assistant Director at HMRP.
“God has given me peace, but I am not that special,” says Scott. “He’ll do it for anybody, that’s what the Bible says. I’ve seen so many people, so many men that walked through this door just beat down by life, and after a few months you wouldn’t even know that they were drug addicts. I’ve heard that said so many times. So, God can do it for you too!”
